Our Story
Opened in May 2020, we are a small artisan bakery located at Savages Nursery in Blewbury, open from Thurs - Sat from 10am each morning.
We make and bake fresh Croissants & Pastries, as well as a variety of Sourdough Loaves and Savoury items such as Sausage Rolls.

A 'Blooming' Start

What started as a charity initiative distributing flour, to our local village, at a time when flour supplies were limited, led to Jack baking his first loaf on the 21st of April.
A month later, The Blewbury Bread Co. was launched on the May bank holiday to orders of 236 Croissants and 60 loaves.

Ingredients & Suppliers
We pride ourselves on the fact that all our bread is baked fresh, and with high quality ingredients.

Our flour is sourced from Shipton Mill, which take their wheat from many local farms, and grind their wholemeal flour in the traditional stoneground manner.

Our Sausage meat comes from Mr and Mrs Park's Butchers in Cholsey, we also use free-range eggs from nearby Beechwood Farm, and the cultured butter for our pastries, is produced by The Estate Dairy in Somerset, who have a well looked after herd of Jersey Cows, producing a higher fat content butter - perfect for buttery croissants!

Some of our other suppliers include Honest Toil, Vahlrona Chocolate, Laceys Milk, and The Bay Tree for our additive free Jam.

Our Sourdough is naturally leavened with a mixed flour starter containing White & Wholemeal flours, and water!
